Although less celebrated than older brother Mike Wardell, Josh Wardell is using this year’s
Florida Open to stake his own claim to fame in Southwest Florida tennis. Josh was unseeded coming into the event, but has upset the No.8 seed and the 17th seed on his way to the round of 16s where he will face yet another seed.
Josh has yet to drop a set in the tournament, but if he gets past his next match (Tuesday 10am at Heritage Palms), he will likely face a match-up with the No.1 seed.
